Backup & disaster recovery
Backup & disaster recovery for Maine businesses
Dead drives, ransomware, burst pipes and ice-storm outages all end the same way without a tested backup. We back up your servers, computers and Microsoft 365, test the restores, and keep a plan to get you running again.
Every backup plan includes
- Local copies for fast restores
- Encrypted, off-site cloud copies
- Immutable copies ransomware can't delete
- Microsoft 365 mail and file backup
- Restore tests on a schedule
- A written recovery plan
Why backups fail
Having backups isn't the same as being able to restore.
The most common thing we find during assessments is a backup that quietly stopped working months ago, or one that exists but has never been restored. You find out it's broken on the worst day of the year.
We monitor every backup job daily and run restore tests on a schedule, so we know your data can actually come back, and how long it takes.
How we protect your data
Multiple copies, in multiple places.
On-site copies
A local backup means a deleted folder or a failed drive can be restored in minutes rather than hours.
Off-site cloud copies
Encrypted copies outside your building protect you from fire, flood, theft and long power outages.
Immutable backups
Copies that can't be changed or deleted for a set period, so ransomware can't take your backups down with your files.

A written plan covering what gets restored first, who does what, and how your team keeps working in the meantime.
Scheduled restore tests
We prove the backups work by restoring from them regularly.
FAQ
Common questions
How often are backups taken?
It depends on how much data you can afford to lose. Critical servers are typically backed up several times a day; workstations and Microsoft 365 at least daily. We set the schedule with you during onboarding.
How fast can we get back up and running?
Restoring a file or folder from a local copy usually takes minutes. Recovering a whole server takes longer, which is why we plan and test full recoveries ahead of time so you know what to expect.
Will backups protect us from ransomware?
Only if attackers can't reach them. Immutable, off-site copies are designed so ransomware can't encrypt or delete them, which is why they're part of every backup plan we run.
