Who we are
Pine State Systems is a Maine IT services company. This policy explains what information we collect through pinestatesystems.com and how we use it. Questions: Eric@PineStateSystems.com or 207-471-8510.
Information you give us
Contact form: your name, company, email, number of employees, what you're interested in and your message. We use it to respond to you and provide the services you ask about.
Giveaway entries: your name, email, whether your entry is personal or for a business, and whether you want information about our IT services. We use it to run the giveaway and contact the winner. We only send information about our services if you said yes.
Phone and email: if you call or email us, we keep what's needed to help you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
We use Google's advertising and measurement tags (Google Ads, and Google Analytics if enabled). These use cookies or similar technology to measure which ads and pages lead to inquiries, for example when someone submits our contact form or taps our phone number. Google may combine this with other information it holds under its own privacy policy.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, such as Netlify (website hosting and form handling) and Google (advertising measurement), or when required by law.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information you've given us, or to stop contacting you, by emailing Eric@PineStateSystems.com. Any marketing email we send will tell you how to opt out.
You can limit personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings, block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep contact inquiries and client records as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting obligations. Giveaway entries from people who did not ask for IT information are deleted within 90 days after the winner is chosen.
Security
We protect the information we hold with the same safeguards we use for our clients, including encryption and multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This website is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and our giveaways are limited to people 18 and older.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
